KVS, CBSE, NCERT Recruitment 2021: A Committee of Parliament expressed concern over a large number of vacant posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council of Research and Training (NCRT). It has also been recommended to run a re-operation drive to fill up these posts.

This is the recommendation in the Report of the Standing Committee on Education, Children, Women, Youth and Sports tabled in Parliament this week. The Committee has pointed out that a total of 13949 posts are vacant in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). Out of the total vacant posts, 5991 posts belong to the teacher. As on 31st December 2020, out of the vacant posts of teachers, 587 were economically weaker category while 1611 obc category, 898 SC category, 450 ST category and 165 were divyang category

Similarly, there are 3407 posts vacant in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) out of which 671 belong to AOBC category, 414 OF SC category, 351ST category and 176 divang category. As per the report released, 929 posts are vacant in central board of secondary education (CBSE) while 1644 posts are vacant in National Council of Education Research and Training (NCRT) and 171 posts are vacant in National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

The Committee has said that the vacancies of teachers affect the ratio of teacher students in schools and it has a greater burden on the existing teachers. The Committee in its report has expressed concern over the status of vacant posts and recommended that a special time bound recruitment drive be carried out to fill up all vacancies.
